Grown in the UK, Holland, mainland Spain and Canary Islands, SCSMB & Spania Fresh Produce, in partnership with it's growers groups, produces high quality class 1 cucumbers 12 months of the year to meet consumer demand.
The time of year the crop is established is very important to the outcome. In England, where the crop is planted ready for picking between late February through to early November, a three-crop season is used and varieties are changed according to the period in that season. In Spain and the Canary Islands, where the season is slightly shorter, a two-crop season is preferred.
The company continually pursues the most distinctive cucumbers and to that end has established specialist nurseries to trial new and selective varieties.
